A simple layout...and some fun news!

I made this LO for a challenge, it's simple and not too busy.

I made it with the Autumn Leaves boy line. It's very cute paper.

After the weekend retailers' event for Memories Wholesale, I've had so many ideas brewing in my head. Seeing all the great paper lines from all the manufacturers who were there was so amazing.
Bree and I also had tons of fun with the make and takes, and the idea classes. We will be incorporating them into our upcoming crops...

Anyhow, I have to share some fun stuff with you.

Bree and I made it into Cosmo Cricket's blog. They were at the retailers' event and I got to meet
Julie Comstock and her "sidekick" Lindsay. They are so much fun to listen to banter back and forth. Well, we were their first 'make and takers' and made it into their blog post called "Oh Canada". Check it out.

Also, that's a hint for what's to come in March's CropSuey kit...(yes, that's a REALLY big hint)

Ok, check out Cosmo Cricket's blog, it's always a hoot with them!

That's it for now. Bree has the pics from the weekend, once I get them from her I will share a little more!

Where did the week go?...again!

I've been meaning to post my 52 Pick Me up, wow, I can hardly believe that it's been almost a week since my last post.

Bree and I just spent the weekend at a Retailer's Event hosted by our local wholesaler. What a fabulous weekend (more to come this week on my blog and on CropSuey's blog).

For now, here's my 52 Pick Me up.

Week 7 Side One:

Week 7 Side Two:

Lovin' this challenge. It's keeping me plugged into His word and keeping me doing a little something creative, even on those busy weeks (like last week, and the one before that, oh, and the one before that!!!)

My 52 Pick me up (catch up)

I've been doing my ATC's but have had some technical difficulty downloading pics.

So, now I will share my last couple of weeks with you.

Week 5 Side 1: "Shout to the Lord"

Week 5 Side 2: "I will never hold my worship; the very reason I was created"

Week 6 Side 1: " I give you every thing that has the breath of life in it. Gen 2:30"

Week 6 Side 2: "whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he does has been done through God. Jn 3:21"

I am working on week 7 tonight and will post it next time.

It's a long weekend in Alberta this weekend, so it off to do family activities tomorrow...probably a waterpark or something that involves water (inside it better than outside right now...cause it's pretty cold out there right now!)

It's Carnival time over at Craft Critique!

I made this LO last week while my DH was out of town. I have been holding onto this American Crafts paper for some time; this was the perfect time to use it.

Also, Craft Critique is having a Carnival and it was fun to combine my effort for this event.

My "Thankful" LO is filled with Love for the most romantic time of the year...

The journaling reads:
We have grown to be such as beautiful combination. You have taught me to grow in so many ways. You have tested my patience and I am sure to have tested yours. You have made me realize that there is no greater love in this world than that of a child's. I love you Reese. I love your smile, I love your tears, I love every bit of you that God has created. I am thankful that you are mine.

Here's the LO:

Happy Valentine's Day to one and all!

Cuddle time.

Robert and Reese love to cuddle in between Daddy's legs on the couch. They get cozy under a blanket and giggle with joy at the whole situation. Then, they wait with anticipation until Daddy decides to squeeze his legs together.
It's funny because most days, they will get the blanket before Daddy's even home from work in preparation for their cuddle time with Daddy. They are Daddy's little snuggle bugs.

Some completed work from last weekend's crop.

So, last Friday and Saturday, Bree and I spent some time scrapping. Crop Suey was a vendor at a two-day crop and we had the added benefit of being able to attend and do a little work of our own.

Here's one LO I made with some of my fave pics from our first camping trip in 2008. Rob and the kids are trotting off to the playground, one of MANY trips that were made to the playground that weekend.

I used Stickles and Puffy Paint to embellish the leaves that were already part of the paper. It was a simple LO, but I love the effect it left when all was done.

Relaxing in the Mountains...

Just a quick note to let you all know that I'm relaxing with the family this week.

I have quite a few projects to share with you, but when I tried to download the pics late last Saturday night, my computer was being fussy, so I never got them posted.

So, here I am now and we are in Banff on a mini holiday (and a conference for my DH).

I just wanted to share quickly. We arrived yesterday, visited the pool and then just had a leisurely supper before we tackled a night routine. The kids were pumped up about being in the Rocky Mountains and sleep did not come easily.

After quite a few attempts, the kids finally fell asleep and woke up bright and early (6:30 am)! But we're doing good so far (it's 4:30 pm and we have not had any meltdowns).

We visited the Banff Gondola this morning, had lunch on a mountain peak and then headed down to the Sulphur Hot Springs. Now, pleasantly exhausted, we are going to head out for supper and hopefully an early bedtime.

Here are some pics of our sights today.

This is the view from the top of the Gondola, looking down on the town of Banff, Alberta.

All bundled up and enjoying the beautiful sights atop the mountain!

We're back Thursday...hope your week is as filled with fun as mine promises to be.

Another LO, trying to step up to the challenge!

Here's a LO I made for a challenge over at Making Memories for You.

I fit two challenges into one. It was fun, it marked Reese's first time in Sunday school. Rob took the pic, Reese looks like such an angel.

Here it is:

Also, last Saturday we had a family get together. We dressed up a little and I made a point of getting some pics of Rob and I (because we usually do NOT take pics). It was nice to get a good one of us.

Yup, I love, love, love this man. After almost 15 years together we still look young (thankfully, my opinion is the only one aired here). I have to say that our relationship gets better every year...I'm glad that we are growing together...now to scrapbook this pic!!!
