We spent the weekend at a charming The Ferintosh Manor Bed and Breakfast. It was so cozy and welcoming. There were a few of us who managed the escape and it was a perfect weekend.

Here are a couple of projects that I made.
I liked this LO, I scraplifted it from a magazine. My friend Nicki used this LO for a pic of her daughter and dared me to use it too. I usually have a hard time to go "simple" but I really like the outcome.

I spent so much time staring at the pic, wondering what I was going to do with it. Then I thought I would stamp a few flowers to make a frame around my daughter's pic; it snowballed from there. I spent the next 90 minutes or so stamping flowers, then hand cutting them out. Then I wanted to add a watermark background to my paper; I typed a paragraph of inspirational girl quotes, then copied it a few times and put my 12x12 paper through my printer. I'm thinking I was a little crazy...
It was fun...but so much more work than I planned! But then, aren't all LOs way more work than we think?

Hey all,

This week the sketch over at Get Sketchy was so much fun.

We were to used some digi stamps from The Stamping Boutique; I used them and paper pieced the boy's clothes. I made the card during a weekend retreat and it all came together WAAAAYYYY too late (during one of those creative streaks we get when it's already too late)

So, here's the sketch:And here's the card that began at 3:30 am and was completed at 4:30 am. It was VERY hard to get up the next morning!!

Crop Suey Challenge #4

That was a stretch for me, I love strips. So, unable to avoid strips, I kept them to under 4''.

One crop, three meals and 30 happy ladies!

Last weekend, our church hosted one of it's 3 yearly crops. It's always a huge hit and brings out so many ladies who want to catch up on their creating. I am one of two people who organize the weekend and it was a busy one for me.

I do all the cooking for around 30 people, set up and tear down and, in a brief moment of fun, teach a mixed media project of some kind.

This year, I decided to create a project that does not have any pictures on it. It was a stretch for some of the ladies to imagine spending the time and not being able to glue down any of the million pictures they still had to scrap. But, once they started creating, they had so much fun. I tried to incorporate a little something that most people who attend these crops do not normally do.

Here's the project:I used the fabulous templates from Hot Off the Press. I used "Little Birdies" and their "Fold & Stack Flowers" templates. It was fun to see the look on the ladies faces when I said they were going to make the flower and bird and it wasn't pre-made for them...priceless.

They got creating and had so much fun making their canvas.
A fun little project to change up things for some ladies!!

I've been quite busy. Bree and I have been busy trying to make sure we have all the bases covered for the many things we have going on.

I've been maintaining to other blogs and (unfortunately) have had to let my own blog take a back-burner to ensure the success of the other ones. But, like every mom, wife, crafter and creater out there, I am going to attempt to balance it all and keep my own blog up to date (we'll see if I can keep all these plates spinning without breaking!!)

Here's the latest Get Sketchy (#27):Here's my card:I have to admit this is one of my faves. It's been awhile since I've said that! I really like this card and only wish that they would all turn out this fabulous looking. I used Basic Grey...maybe that's why it's good; really? can anyone go wrong with Basic Grey (I love their paper!!!)

Get Sketchy #23

It's not complicated, it's one of the simpler ones I have done!

Oh, on the upside...
...I've finally got a new camera. I have been talking about getting a new camera for almost a year, and looking for one has been a real struggle. Now, I did not get THE camera that I truly wanted, but I got a really good one.

I went from a 5.1 MP Hewlett Packard (almost 6 yr old) camera to...drum roll please!
...a 12.1 MP, 4X optical zoom Sony CyberShot and I am very happy!!!

The pics are so much clearer and sharper. The camera even has a smile detector (the old HP does NOT have that!!)

Now, I'm excited about the pics I take of my work!!

I've had some pics sitting on my crafting table for quite some time and I've been really good at setting them aside day after day.

So, I decided to clean and re-organize (because that's what all good procrastinators do) and knew I had to tackle the pics that were starting to collect dust.

Here is a LO I made of Robert's first baseball season (May-June 2009). I used the most "boy" paper I could find, but managed to add some ribbon and have it not look too cutsie!!

I was happy with the outcome!
The next LO was inspired by my sister, well indirectly. She went on a retreat last weekend (the lucky bum!!) and was looking for some paper. I went to Winners looking for some fun paper stacks and bought the Spring Stack.

I love bright colors and here's what I came up with.
The title reads: 1 Mother + 1 Daughter = 2 best friends

These LOs kinda got me in the mood to do more! So, after re-organizing I actually got stuff out for another LO (that has not been the case for me lately)

Anyhow, I'm praying for more inspiration!! I think that with the many crops coming up in the next couple of months I am starting to get excited again.

It's hard to set aside life, but I think I can manage to squeeze in a night or two of creativity per week.

A new year, some new endeavours!

I realize it's been awhile. Our family has been busy (like everyone else out there) and it's taken precedence!

I have not been to my scrap table in quite some time and I'm sad about that. It sits lonely, just waiting for me to come and spend some time with it.

Crop Suey has also been gearing up to launch our re-vamped blog. We have an amazing new team of designers...Crop Chicks are what we call them!!

Check out our BLOG...it's going to be a fun new place to hang your hat!!

Ok, so I realize it's the beginning of a new year and I should have resolutions all ready to go...but I don't.
We've been trying to eat healthier...aren't we all? But it's really weighed on my heart to eat "unprocessed and unpreserved" food, making it healthier. So, I need to figure out what to do with that. I will come up with resolutions...probably by the end of January.

For now, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things; like getting my son to school on time and my daughter to preschool on time! Once I get that routine back, I'll start working on those resolutions.

My weekend away was so much fun. A room filled with women passionate about scrapbooking...really, does it get any better than that.

Oh, yeah...and meals prepared for me. No cleaning, no kids and no bedtime! It was nice and I managed to get some fun pages done!

This one is Reese's 3rd Birthday:Reese NEVER falls asleep on us...except for this one time just before supper:Reese is all girl...just yesterday she told me that she wanted a green cell phone for Christmas, one with Tinkerbell on it (I wrote that one down on the "to get" list):Every year our first camping outing is to the same place. It's become a tradition to skip stones along the river sometime during the weekend (and doing it for a couple of hours at a time...Robert is actually getting the hang of it):

My favorite page from my weekend.

So, last weekend I spent doing what I enjoy so very much. I went on a retreat that I attend every year. It was just what I needed and just happened to be preceded by a few days in the Rocky Mountains with my fam.

Our time in Banff was so much fun. We simply relaxed in our chalet most of the time. The kids saw a doe and a buck just outside of our room as we pulled in and that was the best start to the trip. It actually made me a little nervous because the buck had 5-point antlers and was only about 5-feet away from us. I was quick to tell the kids not to move a muscle and let the animals pass.

Once in our chalet we had chickadees come to our balcony...so we fed them some bread and nuts. That brought more birds...some whiskey jacks, magpies and even one very confident squirrel.

We spent our time lazing around and walking through the many shops in downtown Banff. Really, for us a trip to Banff is seldom a bore. It was really nice to get away.

We came home from Banff on Wed evening and I headed out to my retreat on Fri afternoon. All in all a great week.

Here is my fave LO from the weekend. It a pic of my son and his ABSOLUTELY best friend in the world...TOOT (our dog)! Last week made a year that we've had him...it's hard to believe what life was like without him in our home!

Crop Suey's Christmas Card Class

The new Get Sketchy!

Hey all,
Another Friday has come and the new sketch is out!

Here it is:
Here's my card:I had fun making this one (I think I say that almost every week). This time was truly fun though. I had received a bunch of stamped images from a swap and have never really used them. This "dame" was one of the stamped images and I've loved her for so long...I must finally let go and put her on a card though! It was fun to color her in and then try to make her fit into the "perfect" card.

I like the look of this one!!

Bree and I have a Christmas card class tonight...only I will be teaching it Bree"less". She is still sick and cannot make it. But, she still found the time to make some of the cards that we will be making tonight.

Thinking outside of the box!

Ok, so it's not like me to be this creative. Actually, I'm not sure what inspired me to make this card.

Usually, I am the one to follow someone else's lead when it come to making things...maybe I'm starting to think outside the box (or maybe this is just one of those weird blips that sometimes happen!!)

Anyhow, here's the card I made for twins in my son's class...they absolutely love him and have invited him to their birthday party next weekend.
Then you pull the ribbon and unfold the card...The card then opens up...I really like how it came together...

Bree and I are teaching a card class next week and I think I want to throw this one in. I think it's just different enough to make...it's also fairly easy to make!!

It's crop time and time to get stuff done!!

Every fall there are so many crops that I want to attend. We host one at our church and this year I did all the cooking for the ladies who came. I also managed to get a little bit done.

They are not fabulous pages, but they are done, journaling complete and all! I also did not have all of my stuff with me, so considering those "restraints", I'm happy with the outcome.
This one is my DD's birthday gift from relatives, she had so much fun!
We planted our first family tree this year...it was fun, the kids loved it!
Really, I don't need any other words for Reese but "Sweetheart"!
Here's my brave boy holding snakes...glad I didn't volunteer for that field trip!!

I am going to my BIG crop in a few weeks and I am already planning on taking everything (my space will be empty for the weekend and my DH will have a few days of enjoying a clean craft room!!) Those pages won't be missing any bling and "thingys"!

I'm also working on a project for all of the "teachers" in my kids' lives...there are about 20 of them between preschool, kindergarten, Sunday school and kids' clubs. Yeah...that's always a challenge to remember everyone!!

Here is my card:Things around here are looking up a little. We were caught up in an early freeze for the last week. We had snow almost every day since last Tuesday...just this morning we finally got above freezing and some of the snow started to melt.

Come on...really, it's just mid-October...NOT NOVEMBER!! I was starting to make contingency plans for Halloween...dressing my kids up as abominable snowmen instead of lions and tigers!!

We may be able to go back to animal costumes if the "reasonable weather" returns!! So, send "warm" wishes our way!!

School's in and Get Sketchy is up!

So, it's a sad and happy day today. My son starts kindergarten this afternoon and I'm sad and he's happy. He's my firstborn, and I'm setting him free to roam in this big world without me. Ok, so I know it's just three hours and he probably won't even leave the classroom except for the recess; BUT it's a big deal for me.

I am a hoarder when it comes to my children. I want them all to myself (and my hubby too of course). It's tough for me because I am very concerned about the real influences that exist in the schools and many of them are negative. I have to daily pray that the foundations we have laid as parents are going to rise to the top and that my son will (almost) always choose the right path. I know there will be times when he makes mistakes (because we all do) but I want him to succeed.

I also know that it sounds like I'm sending my son off to university; but this is the first step to letting go, truly letting go...and that makes me sad.

BUT, he's excited and I'm excited for him. Bring it on! Let's tackle this together...oh, and he gets to do all the homework!!

Reese absolutely loves to get dirty...but then she will play the princess too.

When we went to Robert's baseball games, Reese made her own excitement too. When Robert wasn't at bat, she had her hands dug deep into the wonderful red rocks they put all around our Edmonton ball diamonds.

Really, couldn't they find something that doesn't stain every child's clothes? Because, you know where there's sand my kids want to play...

My 52 Pick Me Up...

So, life has sent me a curve ball...

...but I'm back on track and getting back to where I am supposed to be. For the next few days I will be posting 2 ATCs at a time until I am caught up and up to date.

SATU challenge LO

Since my crazy week has passed I have found some time for me.

Here's the LO I created for the current challenge up at SATU.
The journaling reads: "Reese, Through you I have learned so much about myself. I am happy...I am blessed...I am thankful that you have taught me that peek-a-boo is a game of discover at so many different levels. You are such a big part of what defines me."

Happy Birthday to my Son!

Today is a very special day, Robert turns 5 today!!

The last few days have been quite hectic in our home. My hubby left on a 2-week contract and is gone until the beginning of August. I then had 3 busy days after he left.

But, all that aside...the best part of my week was today. Robert showed so much gratefulness today and I was so very proud of him. But with all the maturity he showed, there was a time to play...and that was at his party on Friday.

Brave (or crazy) me took 10 5-yr olds to the West Edmonton Mall (the LARGEST mall in the world) for a Sea Lion Show and a tour of the Sea Life Caverns. With my parents along for the ride, we managed to stay on top of the kids and it was quite a fun afternoon.

Here's the birthday boy!The kids actually sort of posed for a picture. Robert wanted to look "cool" for the pic.

Such a fun day...By the end of the party, my daughter was about finished. I took one last picture with Papa and Nana and her expression is priceless...she is DONE!I just want to shout from a rooftop...

In transit!

I have been a crazy lady over the last month. I have to apologize for being absent; it's all I could do to keep my head above water!

I have so much to say...

School ended, you know the parties and all that stuff.

Then our family went camping for 10 days...and on our way out to the camp, we were hit by a deer! No injury to the family, but the truck is in bad shape. We found out today that it's not a write off, but pretty close. Now our next month is being spent with a rental vehicle waiting to see how they make it look "just like new"!

Our camping trip went something like this:
Day 1: hit by deer
Day 3-5: Robert sick (fever and lethargic, sleeping 20 out of 24 hrs)
Day 6-7: Reese sick (vomitting and fever)
Day 3-7: Rain poured down almost constantly...no joke
Day 3-7: Rob had to go home to get the truck sorted out so that we could tow our trailer home
Day 7-10: Kids are better, hubby returns and the sun comes out...all in all a great weekend!

We returned from camping on the 12th.

My DH is heading out of town this Thursday for the rest of the month (laundry to do, packing to get done)

My son's 5th birthday is Sunday...his friends party is Friday (and I just started planning it yesterday)

Bree is having a Garage Sale this weekend (of which I knew about for awhile, but have not prepared for...because I have boat load of stuff to sell, now I have to get that ready for Thurs).

And...I have an all day catering affair on Saturday that I am in charge of. It's a 200 person wedding (all fancy-schmancy).

So...I can hardly believe I found the time to write all of this...now I am getting ready for bed. I will hit the ground running every day until this Sunday, when all the pressing things will have passed and I can begin to think about the great things that have happened this week.

A couple of cards with a little fun something!

Go check out the Photo Tutorial posted over at Crop Suey's blog.

It's a fun little tutorial on how to use up all of those beads that you have left over in the depths of your craft room (you know the box that has cobwebs all over it)!

I made these cards to thank my son's playschool teachers for ALL the work they put into the year and the kids. I am so thankful for teachers -it's a calling that I have NOT felt led to pursue!

Teachers are AMAZING people and form children daily with the effort they put into their "jobs" (that's in quotation marks because I think it's much more than a job)!

Here is a HUGE THANK YOU to all the teachers out there. You are truly blessings to the kids you influence.

A Milestone has been reached!

Yesterday, my son graduated from preschool. It was a wonderful afternoon, he received his diploma, had some cake, played in the JumpyThings that were rented and then got a tattoo.

It was a regular celebration; but one that made me realize that we are about to embark into the BIG world of school! I'm happy and sad. Robert will no longer be home with me and Reese to have spontaneous adventures during the day...you know the impromptu walks around the lake to see how many dandelions we can pick, or the trips to the 7-11 for the much needed slurpees in the middle of the afternoon.

Thinking about it; our lives will never be the same again once September befalls us. I know it's a stepping stone and Robert is really looking forward to school, but I'm a protective and greedy mom who wants to keep my kids young for as long as I can.

Ok, enough of that.

Here is a big congrats going out to my big man! You've reached a milestone my son!!

Also, my DH had been away for the past 3 weeks and was not expected back until yesterday evening and he surprised us by getting home almost 12 hours early and being able to share in the graduation. It was nice to be there as a family and not have to recount the day later over the phone or a facebook msg!

Puppy Love...

As you may recall, we got a Bichon Frise puppy last November. He came into our home and has changed my kids' view of dogs.

My kids were once fearful of every dog that they saw, then we brought home our puppy; a blessing to our family. He was named "Toot" and has grown into his name 100%. I'm embarrassed to say that his name is fitting. He can toot and burp like no other dog!

Anyhow, I was saying that he was a blessing...right, let me get back to that! Toot has helped my kids overcome their fear of dogs...almost too much. He is the most docile dog and lets the kids do anything with him. One day I couldn't find him and Reese informed me that he was having a nap in her room; I walked into find the dog in her dolly play pen covered in a nice blanket with some stuffies to keep him company. He was just sitting there waiting to be rescued. Another time, Robert told me that he was playing hide-and-seek with Toot and that it was Toot's turn to hide. Robert asked me to find the dog and after a few minutes of "honest to goodness" searching, I gave up. Robert went up to the end table drawer and opened it up -you guessed it, there was Toot patiently waiting to be rescued yet again!

Making this LO made me realize that we really did make a great family decision in getting Toot.

I've come to the conclusion that good things come in small packages (Toot only weighs 7 lbs)!

My 52 Pick Me Up!

Wow, on time and actually posting the ATC...this is good for me.

I've been feeling quite tired this week with my DH out of town and today is the first day in almost a week that I feel like being creative and taking up the scissors and cutting up paper, piecing it together to make something that I can call a LO.

After camping over the weekend with my side of the family, I came home and was completely exhausted. It's nice to feel creative again.

A Little fun with Jelly Belly Beans!

Well, I meant to hit post a couple of days ago, but time got away on me.

I went camping with my family this weekend the lead up to camping (you know the packing and all that "preparation" stuff got a little more time consuming than anticipated...

...I wanted to share this with you though!

I've been playing around with Jelly Belly Beans and it has been so much fun. I made this LO with the fun We R Memory Keepers papers.

You may or may not know, I've been avoiding going to the optometrist because I was FULLY aware that I needed glasses but wanted to AVOID it!
So, when my son had his check up, my whole family booked appointments and I finally, and reluctantly admitted that I needed glasses (also, the optometrist told me so!).

So, I made a LO embracing the change.
Here it is:

My own Blue Man Group!

Do your kids have things they love to play with that you know you should teach them NOT to play with?

Well, one of those things in our house are our laundry bags. The kids love playing with them. They drape the bags over their heads (they are mesh bags, not a choking hazard...) and pretend to be MONSTERS!

This happens at least weekly in our home; the bags are starting to show signs of wearing...and it's not from all the dirty laundry!
So, I finally decided to take a picture of them playing around. Once the pic was taken, I laughed out loud at how much they glowed blue!

I thought they looked strikingly like the Blue Man group!! Here they are:
I love the expression on Reese's face...she wasn't too happy to have to stand still for the picture! My lesson in that was this: when she is being a monster...don't interrupt!

Some playtime for the boys...and the girls!

Friday was so much fun...

The day started out well. Robert and Reese actually did what we ask them to do nightly; read books in your room until 8:00!

So, when that happened it had to be a great day!!

A couple of phone calls set up my day...one to Bree and another to Nicki. They gathered up their brood of kids and headed to my house. With a fresh pot of coffee, two great gals to spend the morning with and some friends for the kids to play with -what could be more perfect?

One activity occupied Robert and Oakley for almost 1.5 hours (crazy I know) -PlayDoh!!! What a wonderful creation!
And look at all the things they made...
Robert kept an accurate count of all the trees that he made. 14...15...16 and three orange ones!

Reese was interested by the PlayDoh for about 15 minutes and then she thought that prancing around the house was much more "up her alley"! And so, she danced for us and that was so much fun for her!
So with that, I had one great morning and mid-afternoon. Thank you to my girls who are always the highlight of my day!

A LO from Scrapping Across the Universe!

As you may or may not know, I am one of the many fabulous designers for Scrapping Across the Universe challenge blog.

Well, I am slated to do LOs for the even challenges...sounds easy enough right? So, last week, I looked at what I had to do and got to work on this LO.

I love doing pages with Robert and Oakley because they genuinely love hanging out together!

Then, in speaking with Bree this morning, I discovered that I completed the wrong challenge. I kicked myself for a moment until I realized that I really like the page and it was worth thinking I was doing the right LO.

So, now I'm sitting down with my yummy new kit for June (it's not up on the website yet) and tackling the right challenge.

Getting caught up!

I'm trying to stay up to date with the small commitments in my "creative" life! It's been hard to keep my blog updated and it's been hard to find time weekly to create.

Things are beginning to wind down and I'm hoping to get back on track with the few things that I have made commitments to this year.

Here are a couple of LOs that I've done lately.
Robert's hockey team had a family fun skate. With the purchase of a pair of used men's skates for mom, it was a complete success. I had put my figure skates away years ago and cringed at the thought of lacing them up to go skating with the kids.

Wow, what a difference the new skates made!

This next LO was a cookie decorating day just before Christmas. Robert and Reese went to their cousin's house to sugar up. There was more icing than I think any child should consume and the cookies were like the foundation upon which they built their "house"!

Here it is:
It was fun to see how creative Robert got with his cookie (it's the one on the top left...the one piled high with icing and chocolate...yeah, that one!) He had so much fun. But when the cookie decorating and eating was done, he disappeared down to the basement where his cousin Mark has so many cool toys.

Finally, I'm up to Christmas with my pics, let's hope I can get a little more caught up this week (as my DH is out of town for awhile). What better to do than scrapbook; it's the next best thing to spending my evenings with my man.

My May Long Weekend Aventure!

As every year, my family packs up the trailer for our first camping trip of the year every May Long weekend.

Every year for the last 3 years we have been going to the same campground with the same 15 families. It's always fun for the kids and we love reconnecting with friends that we do not see often enough.

Some years it rains, others it is sunny...this year yielded a new adventure.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday we had warm temperatures; beautiful weather for the long weekend.

Here are some pics from our weekend:
Robert and Reese taking a much needed juice brake.
Playing at the park...we would sleep under the swings if it were Robert and Reese's choice!
There's always the necessary breaks we take throughout the day to roast some marshmallows (that helps to tide us over to the next meal)!
Then, the highlight for Robert, skipping stones in the river with Dad...Reese is beginning to appreciate it, this year she mostly wanted to make the biggest splash!

THEN the change happened...

On Sunday afternoon the clouds rolled in and the rain began. In a matter of hours the temperature fell significantly. We went from shorts and tank tops to sweaters, rubber boots and rain coats.

It started snowing a little when we went to bed around midnight; and we woke up to this:
YUP, that's SNOW...at least 8 inches of the wet heavy stuff! Boy oh boy that really put a damper on our "planned activities" for Monday! We decided to pack up and head home early!

Do you blame us?

Well, here's hoping that your long weekend was a little less eventful and much warmer than mine!

When will life slow down?

It's funny to think that it's already been three weeks since Crop Suey's National Scrapbooking Day Crop!

I don't know where the time has gone and I'm sorry to admit that.

Here is some of the things I have been working on lately.

My darling friend Bree gave me some Cosmo Cricket that she had left over and I had so much fun playing around with it.

I am a chronological scrapbooker and find it really hard to skip ahead and/or go backwards

These pics are of the fall, the kids had tons of fun playing around with the hockey equipment in the basement and the moments just begged to be captured!
Reese is always asking when it will be her turn to play hockey. Our little girl is going to grow up playing hockey...she is a "go-getter" and will probably dominate all the other players when it's her turn to lace up the skates!

This next one is a good example of our Alberta autumn. It is typical of Alberta to not be able to predict the weather from one day to the other. We (Bree and I) to the playground, but needed hats and mittens before the fun really began.
Bree brought her camera and we snapped these great pics (they are only a few of several hundred) It was so much fun getting to kids to pose...although it was very chilly, they had so much fun conquering the playground!

There's more to come tomorrow...I'm actually on top of things for the time being!!

A stolen moment during the day...

Ok, so the kids and my DH are downstairs in the office. Rob is playing on Facebook and the kids are watching a movie. I tiptoed upstairs to find a quiet spot in my room and "play" a little.

I got some stuff done last night, I was working on a LO from my Crop Suey kit "Dandelion Tea". It was fun to play with the pinks and yellows. I was also itching to dig into my ribbons, it has been a long time since I've put ribbon to page.
I don't know why but my supplies come out in spurts. One week I love Stickles, the next it's Glimmer Mist; this week it's ribbon!

So here it is:

The journaling reads: Only you could melt us with those eyes. You have been blessed with Daddy's eyes!

It's always fun to do LOs with pics of my kids, they are so expressive that it really gives me so much to journal about...or not! Reese is discovering that she can "fake" an expression and it's funny to us (well, most of the time). She will come up to us and say "Wanna see my sad face? My happy face? My I'm "fusstated" face?" All of these faces we see daily, but when she purposefully makes them for us, it's entertainment!

So, I leave you with blessings for tomorrow (all you moms out there). Enjoy your day, cherish thoughts of the great things your kids have done and said over the years. If you are not moms, you have one, so send all your love their way.

My Mother's Day Tea!

This morning I was blessed by my son. His playschool hosted a Mother's Day tea and I feel so privileged to be a mom.

Robert and I went, like a little date, and spent the morning together.
There were snacks and tons of other kids, but I felt like I was the only one in the room. We had such a great time. We whispered sweet secrets to one another and then Robert showered me with gifts.

First he made me a Lady bug card that reads, "I love you because...you are so precious to me and I love playing with you!"

Then he gave me a print that he made during an art class (this one I knew about because Bree and I were the artists who came in to help them with the craft).
Finally, all the kids sang us some songs, one about how great their moms are!

All in all, a perfect morning spent with the second most important man in my life. What a blessing. Thank you my dear son, I am blessed to be your mom.
I hope your Mother's day turns out to be just as special as mine has already been. Anything can happen this Sunday and I will be happy (well, anything but sick kids, or anything involving projectile vomiting, or runny noses...and I will be happy)

An adventure before the weekend began!

This adventure tells the tale of one Reese Young, the most curious and adventuresome girl under the age of 4 in our home!

On Friday morning, Reese and I were working in the computer room (ok, she was typing every 10th letter while I was trying to work). Then she decided to go upstairs to watch TV with her brother. Well...about 5 minutes later she came down crying.

Her words were "It won't come off, It won't come off"!!

When I turned around to help her, I was greeted with this:
Her actual words as I was taking the picture were: "No, mommy, no take picture, no take picture again!"

I was shocked and amused at the same time. But she was not impressed!

I asked her to show me where she did this and she took me straight to MY scrapbooking room! I was greeted by all of my inks sprawled on my desk...open!!

Yup, that's my creative girl!
Black-faced and all she was not happy about me taking a picture before reaching for a cloth to clean her off. I guess that's a good sign of a scrapbooking mom!!

Reese's special day!

So, I promise the story and I will give it now.

Reese and the Fun Factory was a grand adventure.

There were many in attendance for the event. It began (like all great adventures in our family) with a visit to MacDonald's. Grandad, Gramma, the Alexanders and the Woods were all in attendance! When lunch was over we headed over to the Fun Factory!
Reese got to choose which animal she wanted to "build" to take home. She chose a monkey.
Waiting for the lady to help us took some time and it was so cute to see Reese PATIENTLY waiting for her "adventure" to begin. She had her monkey (and the accessorized pink boots) tucked into her arm...patiently waiting...
Then when it was her turn, the fun began!
She went to work on the pedal to fill her monkey. It was her first time doing this, so discovering that the machine shot out stuffing when she stepped on it was very fascinating.

Once the monkey was filled, she chose a special "thingy" (because I'm really not sure what they are called-it was a felt star!) and made a wish for her monkey. Now, making a wish for Reese involved asking Mommy how to do it...I think her wish was for that moment to pass so she can get her monkey ALREADY!!

And then...SUCCESS!
The funniest part happened at the end. When we were done, she tucked the monkey under her arm (she had finally conquered the experience), and went over to where Robert was watching his cousin Mark play on his Nintendo DS! The hilarious part is that Reese was more sad about having to leave Mark and not being able to watch him "race" than leaving the Fun Factory!!

Ahhh the joy of 3 yr olds!

Once we hopped in the car, we asked Reese what her monkey's name was. Her reply "DORA". I asked "Why not Boots" (which seemed the logical conclusion to come to) Her answer to the question "Mom, Boots has red boots, not pink ones!"

Never underestimate the thought process of a child. Of course her monkey could not be called Boots, because her monkey has pink (NOT RED) boots.

Loved that adventure!

More catch up...it's my story lately!!

I can hardly believe it's been a week (I think I should just save that line as the first line on most of my posts!!)

Our family had an awesome Easter weekend and we have been busy since. With Monday being a holiday, our 5-day work week was cut short from the start.

Reese (as you may know) had a birthday at the beginning of April. One of her gifts was a certificate to build her own stuffed animal at the Fun Factory. That was Monday.
I'll post some pics of the adventure tomorrow. I'll save the story for then too!

The rest of the week was a blur. I had a wonderful brunch with my Life Group gals...too much food and not enough time to get all the chit chat in. I love these girls, they have become something I look forward to every week.
Then Bree and I had a bunch of Crop Suey catch up to do, we got a ton of stuff done, but there always seems to be more. I guess it's good to be busy that means we're growing.
By the time that was all done, I realized the weekend was upon us and I was baffled at where the week went yet again.

One thing I realized late last night was that I haven't been posting my 52 Pick Me Up. I have been doing them, but have failed miserably at putting them up for y'all to see. So, here they are!

Aside from that, I am home today with one little boy who was up all night with the bathroom. In his words "I believe my tummy is feeling a teeny bit better now!" I am so proud of him, to have been emptied of everything and he is still trying to comfort me! It's been a long night and I pray tonight is one filled with sleep!

Two little cards for family birthdays...

Just a quick post during this holiday weekend.

Here are the cards:

I cannot tell you who they are for, because they won't be getting them until Sunday.

This weekend seems to have crept up on us. We spent a wonderful day today, the family days are always a hit with the kids.

We went out for lunch with Bree and her fam, then had a nap...amidst the kids jumping on us and wanting us to play dollies and hotwheels!
After the "nap" we headed outside for a bike ride, some road hockey and a little baseball. All in all, a wonderful day.

We also watched the Passion of the Christ. What a reminder of the sacrifice that was made for me. There is no greater love.

Thank you Lord for giving your Son, so that I might have LIFE!

One small project completed!

Ok, here's the story. After Christmas, Rob and I were shopping for some groceries and we found the wall word BELIEVE at an incredible price...

...so we bought it with the intent of putting it up fairly soon. Rob and I are thinkers and take a very long time to make home decor decisions (that's probably the understatement of the century if you have been in my home)

Well, over the weekend, Rob took out the measuring tape, the level and stuck a pencil behind his ear with the intent of finally hanging the word BELIEVE. He was challenged by each letter's hinge being at a different level and each letter having to be measured out exactly.

Two hours later (while I was decorating Reese's birthday cake) we had the word BELIEVE over our office entrance...and it looked so lonely. It was nice, but we knew it needed more. So the search for some embellies began for me. Well, on Sunday (which is a record for me to find something so quickly) I found the perfect accessory to the word.

...DCWV has new wall decor elements out...They are fabulous! They are basically rubons for your home! After a little work the project finally was complete.

Here it is:
It only took us 3 months to get started, but once we did we finished it in less than 48 hours! Wow that's really good for the Young family!

Now, onto the next project...it will take us a few months to decide what that project is!!

Our little girl is 3!!

Well, it's been a busy week. Bree and I headed to Calgary for Scrapbook Eh's Education Eh?
What a whirlwind week! Check out Crop Suey this week to get tidbits from our trip.

MORE IMPORTANTLY, Reese had a birthday on April 2nd!!

Our sweet darling girl is now "flee"! She is so excited to tell everyone how old she is.

And what would a birthday be without a party? And what would a party be without a cake...

...and a silly birthday girl?
I made Reese a Strawberry Shortcake shaped cake and then decorated some extra cupcakes with all the leftover icing!
The presents were fun and truly appreciated, the family coming to celebrate was great...but seeing Reese's expression and gratitude was priceless. This is the first year that she gets it; it was so much fun to see her thank whoever gave her the gift. She took the time after every gift to go and give kisses and thank yous. What a blessing to see that!

I am looking forward to seeing how God is going to shape Reese's life this year.

Just a little LO using some of the Making Memories Flower Patch collection. I had some fun with the "ruffles" I put at the bottom of the pic. I took strips of paper and made tubes with them and then sewed them to the page...fun!
The journaling reads "Only you can turn "Definitely Not" into, No, Not really, Maybe, Well ok, and then Absolutely YES!"

My lovely niece...

I made this LO with Making Memories Flower Patch. The paper is so springy and fit the pic of my niece perfectly.
My sister has only one girl and she is absolutely beautiful. That means that all the pink pages will be of her DD and I have another girl to scrap about! Look for the many cousins LOs to come in the future...they will be girly and they will be PINK!

An artist on the rise...

If you read Crop Suey's blog, you saw that my son was featured with one of his art projects.

Last week we made another project at home. I pulled out some canvases for my kids and a little water colors and they set to work. Reese was not so interested in the project, but Robert...he was truly enjoying himself.

He stripped off his shirt to "not get dirty" (his words) and then set to creating.

He was working on his masterpiece for almost 45 minutes and I enjoyed watching him every moment. He had so much fun!

One more piece to decorate with...one lesson was learned though...remove the black paint first!

I'm looking forward to our next project...it will be messy and so much fun!

Beach Buns!

Here's one that I posted over at CropSuey's blog yesterday.

It's one that I had so much fun making because I had been holding onto the picture for so long. I used Photoshop to edit the colours in the pic (taking out all the colours except the water, then making it a vibrant blue-purple). Then I used a jean pocket that I had leftover from the pants I used to patch all the holes in Robert's knees as a place for hidden journaling. It was fun to see the finished product.

So, combine an old jean pocket, a great pic and, of course, some Sassafrass Lass from Bree's Choloclate Bunnies Kit and how can the finished product not be a success.

Another new month for Crop Suey!

It seems hard to believe that we are entering month 7 of our venture. Bree and I are pretty excited about what's ahead.

Just up on Crop Suey are the new March kits.

Chocolate Bunnies: In fitting Bree style, it's a little more Sassafrass Lass and a lot more fun! She really knows how to put these kits together. Every day she is coming up with new ideas that, I have to admit, I don't think I would ever come up with.

and Salt Water Taffy: I love Cosmo Cricket and here's my chance to overdose on it! Love the colours in this month's kit.

Oh yeah, on another note! I was published in the Making Memories for You March/April Ezine! Yahoo, what fun! They chose me as the winner of a Scraplift Challenge; the LO I submitted was my "Measuring Up" that I showed you in my last post.

A simple layout...and some fun news!

I made this LO for a challenge, it's simple and not too busy.

I made it with the Autumn Leaves boy line. It's very cute paper.

After the weekend retailers' event for Memories Wholesale, I've had so many ideas brewing in my head. Seeing all the great paper lines from all the manufacturers who were there was so amazing.
Bree and I also had tons of fun with the make and takes, and the idea classes. We will be incorporating them into our upcoming crops...

Anyhow, I have to share some fun stuff with you.

Bree and I made it into Cosmo Cricket's blog. They were at the retailers' event and I got to meet
Julie Comstock and her "sidekick" Lindsay. They are so much fun to listen to banter back and forth. Well, we were their first 'make and takers' and made it into their blog post called "Oh Canada". Check it out.

Also, that's a hint for what's to come in March's CropSuey kit...(yes, that's a REALLY big hint)

It's Carnival time over at Craft Critique!

I made this LO last week while my DH was out of town. I have been holding onto this American Crafts paper for some time; this was the perfect time to use it.

Also, Craft Critique is having a Carnival and it was fun to combine my effort for this event.

Cuddle time.

Robert and Reese love to cuddle in between Daddy's legs on the couch. They get cozy under a blanket and giggle with joy at the whole situation. Then, they wait with anticipation until Daddy decides to squeeze his legs together.
It's funny because most days, they will get the blanket before Daddy's even home from work in preparation for their cuddle time with Daddy. They are Daddy's little snuggle bugs.

So, last Friday and Saturday, Bree and I spent some time scrapping. Crop Suey was a vendor at a two-day crop and we had the added benefit of being able to attend and do a little work of our own.

Here's one LO I made with some of my fave pics from our first camping trip in 2008. Rob and the kids are trotting off to the playground, one of MANY trips that were made to the playground that weekend.

I used Stickles and Puffy Paint to embellish the leaves that were already part of the paper. It was a simple LO, but I love the effect it left when all was done.

Relaxing in the Mountains...

Just a quick note to let you all know that I'm relaxing with the family this week.

I have quite a few projects to share with you, but when I tried to download the pics late last Saturday night, my computer was being fussy, so I never got them posted.

So, here I am now and we are in Banff on a mini holiday (and a conference for my DH).

I just wanted to share quickly. We arrived yesterday, visited the pool and then just had a leisurely supper before we tackled a night routine. The kids were pumped up about being in the Rocky Mountains and sleep did not come easily.

After quite a few attempts, the kids finally fell asleep and woke up bright and early (6:30 am)! But we're doing good so far (it's 4:30 pm and we have not had any meltdowns).

We visited the Banff Gondola this morning, had lunch on a mountain peak and then headed down to the Sulphur Hot Springs. Now, pleasantly exhausted, we are going to head out for supper and hopefully an early bedtime.

Another LO, trying to step up to the challenge!

Also, last Saturday we had a family get together. We dressed up a little and I made a point of getting some pics of Rob and I (because we usually do NOT take pics). It was nice to get a good one of us.

Yup, I love, love, love this man. After almost 15 years together we still look young (thankfully, my opinion is the only one aired here). I have to say that our relationship gets better every year...I'm glad that we are growing together...now to scrapbook this pic!!!

Scrapping Across the Universe challenge.

This LO is a personal one, I made it for my mom. There is journaling on the swirls that is a little something for my mom. It's my way of telling her that she is more than worth every ounce of joy and pain that comes with being my mom.

I've finally caught up on my 52 Pick Me Up challenge. I had a rough start to my week and my sinuses are promising a bumpy ride this weekend.

I'm so tired...

Bree and I had a calendar making class last night and it went WAY later than we anticipated.

But it was so much fun. All that work and I still have 2 months to finish. I'm aiming to finish the calendar in the next few days and then I will post pics.

All that to say that I went to be at 2 am and my son woke me up at 7:30 (I really hope Bree got to sleep in a little longer). Now, I cannot go to bed early because I have a staff party to attend tonight...Yay!! (don't they always fall on the days that you can really use just a little more sleep?)

My mom came over for a visit today and we looked at some vintage photos of her parents and grandparents...that made my wheels start turning...how can I restore these and preserve them for her?
I guess that's the next thing to be added to my ever-growing to-do list.

I'll post pics of the calendar soon...it really turned out nicely, so I can't wait to share it with you.

Also, I've completed week two side two of my 52 Pick me Up challenge. It says "I AM" all over, with "He is the great I AM" at the bottom. It's hard to read because I sprayed it with some glimmer mist and that causes some reflection when taking the pic...

Also, the weather around here took a severe dip...it went from -8 in the morning to...hold onto your seats, -26. It was sad, very very sad. I was kinda hoping that we could start thinking about making the shift from heavy winter coats to sweaters and vests...That's not happening anytime soon after today's weather events.

My project for 2009

I knew that I needed to take up some kind of challenge for 2009 and I have been looking everywhere.
I thought about Project 52, or Love yourself in 2009...but they didn't really speak to me.

Then I came across Andrea Wiebe's challenge blog "52 Pick Me Up" and I was instantly drawn in.
The only catch is that I found it in mid-January and the challenge began 1 Jan, so I had a little catching up to do.

I'm going to do an ATC a week, on both sides, to follow along with Andrea. I'm going to base it on how God is showing himself in my life that week.
I've also just started Beth Moore's new study on the book of Esther...WOOOOWWWY, it is going to be a good one.

So, here is my first week and the beginning of week two. I had fun making them, it is going to be a great project to be able to show my kids later, and maybe inspire them to always seek God in their lives.

Has it really been a week already?

I'm sorry not to have kept up last week. I ended up getting the flu last week and have been completely drained of energy most of the the week.

The weekend rolled around and I was supposed to be feeling better because I had a "sleepover" planned with my sister. I was heading out to her house on Saturday afternoon, not to return until Sunday morning, and I was not supposed to be sick...

...well I still was BUT I went anyway. Who can say no to a whole evening of scrapping. My sister also got some new toys at Christmas and I wanted to see what she could do with her new Cricut Expressions...a fun "toy"!

So, after the kids finally fell asleep we crept down to her scappy room and started to "work".

I managed to complete 3 LOs, I wanted to do more, but once 1:30 am rolled around I was absolutely wiped. Not to mention the fact that her 1 yr old daughter would be waking up bright and early.

Here's what I did:

The pics in this LO were overexposed (on purpose) and I like the effect it gives to the LO.

This LO is not super spectacular, but I like how I captured the moments from Robert's first soccer season. Notice in the bottom left pic...coach Bree was giving the team a Pep talk!!

Anyhow, I am feeling better now and must prepare for a big week ahead. I have a growing list of things that need to be done in the next 10 days...one of which is clean up my scrappin' area, because it keeps getting messy (for some reason...)

I've conquered and overcome...

I had soooo much fun at the Crop Suey online crop. I wasn't sure what to expect, but ended up having a blast chatting with everyone and trying to get the challenges done in a timely fashion.

I trucked all my stuff over to Bree's house, including my computer, and we got set up. We send our men out to see a movie and then sat down to the challenges.

There were three challenges:

1. To use something Red, Teal and Black, a little glitter and something that POPS!

Here's what I came up with:

2. To take a ribbon and make a flower embellishment on your page. I included it in my first challenge's LO (to save time and it also fit with what I was doing!)

3. This was an intuitive challenge, to cut images from magazines and make a collage of what you aspire to in 2009. It was a "gooder"!

4. To use something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. This one was fun too!

The result:

After too much caffeine, too much sugar, I finally hit the wall about 12:30. Which isn't very late, but when you've had a very full day it was time for me to call is quits.

It was so much fun, Bree and I decided that we should make more time for scrappin' together instead of doing it on our own and then spending hours talking about how we did this or that project!!

What fun, now we are off to hockey in a little bit...Robert is due to score today! He's been getting so many shots on goal, that the puck has to find it's way in today for sure!!!

I haven't posted yet this week because I've been locked up in my scraproom making some fantastic pages for a calendar class that I will be teaching with Bree next week.

I was all set to post some pics of it tonight...then realized that I took it to show Bree this morning and left it at her house...I know, I know...that's just me nowadays!

So, if you love to create, you need to check out Crop Suey's Blog and Message Board tomorrow afternoon and evening.

We are having an online crop, we will begin by posting a challenge on the Blog begin at 3pm our time (which is Mountain). Then we will have challenges posted every 2 hours. Yes, that means 5, 7,9 and 11 pm. We will decide how much steam we have left at 11pm and see where the night takes us from there!

So check it out, all of our Fabulous Crop Chicks will be there too. They are going to be taking part in the challenges and will be posting some of their own. I am really looking forward to seeing whether I am up to their challenges...I just pray the creative juices will be flowing tomorrow.

So as Bree said it "Be there or be square"...I can't believe I just wrote that...or more that I am not deleting it before I press "POST"!

A couple of things...

Today the new post is up at Scrapping Across the Universe challenge blog. I had so much fun with this one, but also had a little bit of trouble. It's hard to admit that my little boy is growing up and little by little becoming more independent.

Here's my LO, "1st Solo Adventure 2gether" :

No monkeying around...

A cute story for you guys...

When Robert was only a few months old, Nana gave him a little stuffed monkey. He clung to that monkey and it became a part of his "every" day.

Then, on his first birthday, Nana surprised Robert with another monkey. Well...I think Robert was so happy about that monkey and that he now had two (one for each hand). Over the last few years the monkey collection has grown.

When Robert had his playschool graduation last June, Papa showed up with another monkey as a graduation gift! Well...every monkey sets a new record high! This monkey actually had a name on the tag. His name was Fumbles...well, Fumbles became his new best friend. Fumbles had to be by Robert's side every time he fell asleep. Fumbles has been the #1 monkey for 6 months until...

This Christmas, Nana and Papa set yet another new record!!! They gave Robert a Webkinz, a Cheeky Monkey! Now Fumbles has a new companion on his bed.
On Christmas night, when bedtime rolled around both monkeys had to be by his side and cradled in his arms.

I snapped this picture about 15 minutes after we had tucked him in...

...is there anything more precious than a sleeping child?

So the monkey tradition continues, I believe we are at 6 monkeys so far! It sort of fits with Robert's personality. He is sometimes cheeky and cannot sit still for more than 60 seconds at any given time!!

I've missed telling my stories...

I've been trying to blog for the last 4 days now...

We've been experiencing technical difficulties with our 3 computers. You would think that with 3 in the house one would work...but NOOOOOO!!!

So, I wrote this long post on Christmas eve and it was my version of the Twas the Night before Christmas. And then...crash...and so I wrote it again (very close to the first one, I was going on memory) and then...CRASH AGAIN!!!
I switched computers, but then the internet would not connect. After an hour and a half of trying to post, I finally called it quits.

Now, it's way past Christmas and everything has resumed its functions.

My poem is lost, but trust me when I say it was a gooder...

Our Christmas was absolutely relaxing and so much fun. I hosted both families on separate days and must admit that I love hosting because I get to stay at home! Christmas day we had Rob's side of the family over and indulged in more food than was necessary for any person to consume. Then we played our own version of Charades...what a blast1
On Boxing Day, my side of the family came over for another feast (my sister made Prime Rib and it was delish!) and AGAIN indulged in more food than was necessary for any person to consume. We tore into the gifts and with 6 children under the age of 10 it was pretty crazy!

All in all it was a great Christmas. Now, I sit at the "functioning" computer while my DH is playing Battlefield 2 at the other computer next to me. This is my idea of a "max relax" night. The kids are nestled are snug in their beds...Reese is definitely dreaming of sugar plums, but Robert is probably at the wheel of a Nascar racing car (because there is now a 6 foot posted on his wall of Dale Earnhardt Jr's car -care of Papa and Nana).

Every year there are gifts that touch the heart more than others...this year Papa and Nana win the prize.

My day...

So, I've taken some time to get my stuff together. Here are my 1970's ATCs. I'm not sure how I feel about them, but lately I don't know how to feel about something and everyone else likes it...so, here they are:

Today was an extremely fun day. We set up the train around our Christmas tree the other day and today the kids truly enjoyed it. Rob and the kids take every spare moment to watch the "Polar Express" (as Robert calls it) go around the track.

I love the expression on their faces, the "Polar Express" is the highlight of the day!

Now a quick story today...Let's begin by saying I'm not a great skater. I've had a pair of figure skates sitting in my basement ever since Rob and I started dating. So, in the last 14 years they have been used all of about 5 times. Finally, last week we made a family decision that if I was going to participate in family skates, I should have some skates.
After talking about it for years we went out and bought me a pair of men's skates...when I put them on today for our son's "family skate" I asked myself why I didn't buy them years ago!!
I was instantly an amazing skater...ok, maybe not amazing, but more agile and able than I ever was in figure skates.
We took Reese out on the ice too. We bundled her up, stuck her in a sled and pulled her around the ice...she absolutely loved it!

It was such a great day...I love these moments...it seems like every day is filled with "special" moments and activities!

I've actually been scrapbooking quite a bit lately.

I've completed an album for my mom (but can't post pics until after Christmas because she reads my blog)

I've also completed my ATCs (yeah, the ones that were due at the end of November). My only consolation is that Bree is hosting the swap and she is still waiting for other people to get theirs in to her. I can run them across the street at a moment's notice if I have to.

So, I will post pics later. I will also show you my ATCs...it's just late right now and I need more time to get the post together.

I am off to my pillow now...Bree will have to wait to get the good stuff on my blog...I am choosing sleep!

Although I haven't had the time for very much lately, I need to take the time for this...

THANK YOU so much Bree for changing my blog.

I've been in the mood for change, thought my blog was a little BLAH, and along comes Bree to revamp it for me.

I am so grateful to her for everything she has done.

I need to post some links with the "flares", but she has done the bulk of the work (like 99.37% of it).

So, thank you.

My busyness will soon be over, as my husband is currently directing our church Christmas production (and it is HUGE) and they have their last performance on Sunday!

I am looking forward to the quiet and the routine...well, I'm kidding myself because there really is no routine in our home...except for getting up every morning.

Anyhow, I pray your holidays are not too crazy and that you take the time for family. I know that I am planning on it. Maybe I'll manage to share some of our Christmas traditions with you...hopefully through a few layouts that I manage to get done while my hubby takes some much needed time off.

1. What time did you get up this morning? 0730...when my son came in my room and asked me if it was time to get up yet!

3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema? Really....I usually send my DH to the theatre so I can scrap...let me think...t was Hancock!

4.What is your favorite TV show? I am not supposed to admit this...but I am HOOKED on Grey's Anatomy!

7. What food do you dislike? Anything that really smells funny...like fish...it's best coated with bread crumbs and deep fried!

8. What is your favorite CD at the moment? the radio...I cannot remember the last time I bought a CD!

9.What kind of car do you drive? A Toyota Camry Hybrid...yup I'm GREEN!

10. Favorite sandwich? Toasted tomato sandwich...yummy!

15. Where would you retire to? Close to family...and my children!

16. What was your most recent memorable birthday? ...in 2006, my MIL gave me a wonderful jewelry box, her last gift to me before dying of cancer.

35. How is the weather right now? Cold, it's -18 and it has finally snowed here in Alberta!

36. The first person you spoke to on the phone today? Bree...she's almost always the first person I talk to every day!

38. Favorite restaurant? Any one I get to escape to with only my husband and NO kids.

39. Real hair color? brown with sprigs of grey (they are quickly taking over)

40. What was your favorite toy as a child? A small Strawberry Shortcake that I loved to inhale the sweet fragrance of her hair!

45. When was the last time you cried? Tonight, when my DH showed me a DVD they made of the scattering of his mom's ashes (I wasn't able to be there)

47. What did you do last night? I worked at a Craft Fair...Crop Suey had a table there.

48. What are you afraid of? Really sharp blades...I can't get over that one!

Scrapping Across the Universe Challenge #4

The fourth challenge for Scrapping Across the Universe is up...I love what everyone has come up with.

I thought I would post my LO. It was tough to do...I knew that I had to do something about my going to Afghanistan while I was in the military (I was among the first Canadians to go into the country after 9/11).

This LO was all about the journalling. I hope you like it.
